Street Pastors was launched on  28th June 2011

Street Pastors is an inter-denominational Church response to urban problems,
engaging with people on the streets to care, listen, support and help vulnerable people, especially young people

It is an exciting time as we see the Local governmnet, the Police and the local churches working together to improve the town centre at night time and make it a safer place to be.

More information on what street pastors is about can be found on their website: www.streetpastors.org.uk

To become a Street Pastor you need to be over 18 (no upper age limit), a church member and able to commit to Ascension Trust’s training programme.   Each Street Pastor team consists of at least three groups of four, each of which will work a minimum of one night a month, usually from 10pm to around 4am.
