Christian Listening Point

The venture was launched on 28 May 2010 - and is now into its 7th year!!  Our vision was to provide a Christian Listening Point which could reach out to the people of Mansfield, offering support, a listening ear, and a word of prayer.

The Listening Point is based on Mansfield Marketplace every Friday morning: 9:30 am - 1:30 pm - and support is provided by volunteers from a number of churches in Mansfield.  They offer their time and gifting to provide a Christian presence to take place in our community.  The CLP also offers free Christian literature relevant to people's needs.

Following the launch of the reorganised market in 2016, the Listening Point has moved from the performance area at the top of Church Street - and is now based in front of the old Town Hall.

The Listening Point is partly funded by myself and MOVE (Mansfield Outreach Venture for Evangelism) - the evangelism arm of Mansfield Christian Bookshop.

At the present time the Listening Point has ten volunteers (four male, six female) from five different churches.  If you would like to be a volunteer on the CLP, the good news is you don't need any qualifications.  All you need is a heart that has been touched by the love of Jesus!

On behalf of the team, I would like to thank the people who underpin this work with their prayers, and also to thank those members in the congregation who donate books to help with fundraising.
